Admissions to Slough Grammar Schools

All Year 7 places in Slough grammar schools are determined by pupil performance on the 11 Plus exam. Each individual school typically hosts its own open event that provides detailed information about their admissions process, including an opportunity for prospective students and parents alike to take a tour of their preferred school as well meet staff members who work there! Admission to Year 7 in Slough Grammar Schools is administered by the Slough Consortium of Grammar Schools and parents must register their child online before the deadline. 

How to Register for the Slough Grammar Schools 11 Plus Exam

To apply for a Year 7 place at Slough grammar school, parents must first register their child with the council before October. Parents must know that registering for the exam does not mean registering for any particular it is just for your child to sit the Slough Consortium 11+ exam. After this in the next step, the pupil will sit in the 11+ entrance test. Parents will be notified through mail when the results of the 11+ entrance examination are available. After receiving the next step is completing an online Common Application Form (CAF) which can be done through Slough County Council applicants will need to provide any necessary documentation and upload it before the deadline. 

The result notified to the parents will be in the standardised score for both papers. The raw scores achieved by the students are not given to the schools or to the parents. 

11 Plus Exam Format of Slough Grammar Schools

The 11 Plus Exam for Slough Grammar Schools has two papers that are of 60 to 65 minutes each. All four schools that come under the Slough Consortium uses the same paper. Both the papers have questions that assess these skills in the test.

What is the pass marks for Slough Grammar Schools?
