This typically involves the senses and helps readers feel they belong to what they write. Descriptively written writings are typically used for fictional writing, but this is no excuse for it not. Sometimes there are also elements to writing descriptive texts in nonfiction genres.

Expository writing

Expositive writing is a text describing a given subject. Maybe you think it’s just describing what you wrote? ‘ Oh yeah! While the descriptions are essentially the same, they differ from the descriptive ones in a major way. This genre of writing is unique since it is written without opinions or agenda and merely conveys facts.
